Singer Beyonce is finally, finally saying something about the fact she & hip-hop mogul Jay-Z are husband and wife. The couple, who married six months ago, have yet (up until now) publicly acknowledge their union. But B talked to Essence mag about her life with J -- and how very special it is.

"What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real," Beyonce Knowles said.

And, after being grilled by the interviewer about their big day and Beyonce stating, "You're gonna get me in trouble," she revealed that they had a small wedding in NYC. They kept it intimate, the bootylicious babe said, because she doesn't think of herself as a "traditional woman," and she didn't want the drama. "It's been my day so many days already," she told the mag.

Popstar Beyonce Knowles is reportedly being roped in to replace Amy Winehouse to record the theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie entitled, Quantum Of Solace. The Rehab hitmaker was reported to have been dropped as the film's official musical muse after DJ Mark Ronson told reporters he had axed his 007 collaboration with the singer, because she was not "ready" to work on music after a recent return to her erratic ways.

However, on May 24 Amy Winehouse confirmed that she has, in fact, completed the song, though she is not sure whether movie bosses will give their consent to use the track in the latest superspy offering.

But in another twist, industry insiders have claimed that Beyonce Knowles has become the favorite to record the title track, reports ContactMusic. However, the newly married singer's representatives have yet to comment on the rumors

The marriage of singer Beyonce Knowles and hip-hop star Jay-Z is finally official, with a New York town clerk confirming the couple have filed a wedding license. The couple held a lavish private celebration in Manhattan earlier this month, but had refused to confirm they were celebrating their nuptials.

But Donna Conkling, town clerk of Scarsdale Village in suburban Westchester County, said her office had since received the license. "The license was sent back to our office on Friday," said Ms Conkling. Houston-born Knowles, 26, and Brooklyn native and former street hustler Jay-Z, 38, whose real name is Shawn Carter, have been romantically linked since September 2002, but have kept mum about their romance.

Their Manhattan party, which took place at Jay-Z's apartment on April 4, did little to scotch speculation about their relationship.

The celebration was attended by actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Destiny's Child stars Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, according to US media reports. White flowers and silver candelabras were delivered to the building in New York's Tribeca district, while a white tent was set up on the roof.

Beyonce rose to fame as a member of Destiny's Child, but emerged as a superstar in her own right with her big-screen turn as Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers in Goldmember. The following year she scored a hit with her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, collecting five Grammys along the way.

Her marriage to Jay-Z comes as the hip-hop artist and record executive enters talks with concert promoter, Live Nation, over a reputed deal worth $150 million. He ran the rap label Def Jam Records as president for several years, and co-owns the New Jersey Nets professional basketball team.

American R&B singer songwriter Beyonce Knowles is reportedly set to retire from her singing career. Beyonce, who is 26-years-old, was in the news recently for having tied the knot with Jay-Z and she is now back in the limelight with news of an impending retirement.

According to what her cousin Angelica Knowles told sources, the diva is currently working on a new album, but it will be her last, New York Daily reported. Further, it seems that she will be spending her days scouting talent for her new hubby Jay-Z's upcoming label, The Carter Music Group. Beyonce's first protege is rumoured to be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas. None of her representatives could be reached for comments.

Beyonce Performing With Tina Turner , Can't Wait.

Beyonce has every reason to celebrate as she is getting an oppourtunity to perform with Tina Turner. Knowles, 26, has never hidden her admiration for Simply The Best singer Turner, and has even performed her hit Proud Mary during a tribute to the star in 2005.

Beyonce is one happy girl these days. However, the song on which they will be performing together is not yet decided.

Singer/actress Beyonce says she’s sick of fending off continued media reports about a false feud between her and Dreamgirls co-star Jennifer Hudson.

“I know there’s a typical rumor every single time I’m involved with any African-American female. Before I even meet them I know the rumor, because that’s just - it is what it is. It’s society, and it has nothing to do with me,” Beyonce told in the June issue of Vibe magazine.

“It’s very unfortunate… But that’s against everything I stand for. I always support women. I love women, and I’m a successful woman, so I embrace talent. It’s frustrating to me. But what do I do? I’ve worked with Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and they don’t start that. Whenever it’s two black women it’s… unfortunate.”

Beyonce is refusing to confirm rumours she has said yes to Jay-Z’s marriage proposal, insisting the media will be the last to know of any developments in her love life.

The bootylicious singer says she has become accustomed to the fame game, and has learned how to keep her personal life - personal.

Beyonce told Vibe Magazine: “I keep my personal life to myself and it is what it is. And even my personal life - because I don’t talk about it - people try to start things to make me talk about it.

“They say, ‘Oh well, if we say something’s going wrong, then maybe she’ll talk about it, and then we’ll get to find out.’ But I’m smarter than that - I already know the tricks!”
