The couple held a lavish private celebration in Manhattan earlier this month, but had refused to confirm they were celebrating their nuptials.

But Donna Conkling, town clerk of Scarsdale Village in suburban Westchester County, said her office had since received the license. "The license was sent back to our office on Friday," said Ms Conkling. Houston-born Knowles, 26, and Brooklyn native and former street hustler Jay-Z, 38, whose real name is Shawn Carter, have been romantically linked since September 2002, but have kept mum about their romance.

Their Manhattan party, which took place at Jay-Z's apartment on April 4, did little to scotch speculation about their relationship.

The celebration was attended by actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Destiny's Child stars Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, according to US media reports. White flowers and silver candelabras were delivered to the building in New York's Tribeca district, while a white tent was set up on the roof.

Just two weeks after exchanging vows with longtime boyfriend Jay-Z, it looks like Beyonce is following in his footsteps -- calling it quits from music, like Jay-Z attempted after the release of the Black Album. According to a report from New York's Daily News, the singer's cousin, Angelica Knowles, claims that Beyonce's next album will be her last as a recording artist, as she takes on a role behind the desk. Apparently, Beyonce will help her new husband scout talent for Jay-Z's new label.

Jay-Z is said to be on the verge of inking one of the biggest deals in music history with Live Nation Inc., reportedly worth $150 million. Via the deal, Live Nation would obtain a stake in everything from Jay's music to his music-related business for 10 years, as well as publishing, licensing and other rights. The company would also finance Jay'z entertainment venture, Roc Nation, which is rumored to include a record label, music publishing, talent consulting and managing projects.

This is where B would fit in, searching for new talent. Beyonce's first protégé is rumored to be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas. Reps for the singer could not be reached for comment.

According to the Los Angeles Times, People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals has backed off its criticism of Knowles, who it claimed had worn fur stoles, coats, collars and wraps to various events. But now, after carefully examining red carpet footage, fashion photo shoots, paparazzi shots and assorted tabloids, PETA has determined that Beyonce was fur-free all winter. MANILA, Philippines—It doesn’t seem too long ago when rising singer-actress Beyonce Knowles co-starred opposite Mike Myers in the third “Austin Powers” movie, and steadily conquered music charts with Destiny’s Child. But a lot has happened since then, including a stunning turn as superstar singer Deena Jones in “Dreamgirls” and multiple Grammy wins for her solo work.
The R&B singer’s hit 2003 solo debut “Dangerously in Love” was followed by “B’Day,” which includes the chart-topping breakup anthem “Irreplaceable,” as well as collaborations with hip-hop artist beau Jay-Z (“Déjà Vu”) and loose-hipped Latina songstress Shakira (“Beautiful Liar”).
It’s going to be “B’Day” for her Filipino fans on Nov. 7 at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field, as the beloved Miss Knowles will be performing her soulful, sultry music in the one night-event, “The Beyonce Experience: Live in Taguig 2007.”
MTV Chair and CEO Francis Lumen, in a recently held press lunch, expressed elation over the multi-talented artist’s upcoming visit.
“We are really so excited about this concert,” he said. “As part of the Globe initiative of supporting the aspirations of the youth through music, and because of all the other sponsor support, we’re able to make this happen. We were able to watch her last Aug. 25 in San Diego. ‘The Beyonce Experience’ concert here will really be a fantastic show, because she has an all-female band with her, as well as dancers that are great performers. The production will also make her concert one of the best the Philippines will see this year.”
He added that it’s going to be an energetic and very visual show: “The world tour show will be exactly the same as the one we saw in the US. She started it on Oct. 17 in Russia, then Romania, Istanbul, Dubai, Bombay, Bangkok. The combination of the lighting, the stage and the numbers will make the audience dance. She’ll be playing the familiar songs. She allowed her female musicians to shine; their individual performances were great. The four male dancers, you can really see their abs, and the female dancers are all sexy!”
Lumen also revealed that steps are being undertaken to ensure that the show will be enjoyable and memorable for concert-goers. “We’ll propose to the security to allow the audience to stand up and dance in their spots. In the Christina Aguilera concert, it was too strict.”

She will perform at the Shanghai Grand Stage next Monday in China. The concert was scheduled for a much earlier schedule but it got postponed.

Beyonce said that she is very happy to perform in China because she hasn’t got a chance earlier to perform, in China.

Beyonce will be accompanied by a group of 80 personnel, including her mother Tina Knowles as the stylist, for the two-hour concert.

Wow! I wish I was going to be in Vegas in December when Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club has it’s grand opening! Apparently, Beyoncé and her man, Jay-Z, will perform together just after midnight.
“Jay wants his club to be the ultimate in entertainment. He knows the buzz is going to be huge,” says a friend of the couple.
I bet that is going to be an amazing grand opening!

She has been nominated in the Female artist nomination categories. The selection procedure was different this time.
Earlier the winners were selected by a national survey of some 2000 people.Nominees were initially chosen based on record sales.
Ballots were then sent to a national sampling of 15,000 people and the top three vote-getters in each category became nominees.It will be for the first time that members of the public will be able to vote for the nominated artists online.
Online process is definitely better.
